K-pop sensation Tomorrow X Together (TXT) has achieved remarkable success in the first half of 2023, claiming the top spot in CD sales and second place in overall sales (including digital) in the United States.

According to a report released by Luminate, an entertainment industry data research firm in the United States, TXT's mini-album "The Name of Temptation" sold over 395,000 physical CDs, securing the number one position in the "Top CD Album Sales" category for the first half of 2023.

Luminate analyzed data and trends in music-related metrics such as physical album sales (CDs, LPs, etc.), digital downloads, and audio streaming from December 30, 2022, to June 29, 2023, to compile their first-half report.

In the "Top Albums (Total Sales)" category, which combines physical and digital album sales, TXT ranked second with 399,000 sales points. The chart was topped by Taylor Swift's album "Midnights," making TXT the highest-ranking K-pop artist on the list.

TXT's presence in the North American market has seen a significant surge. In last year's first-half report, TXT's mini-album "minisode 2: Thursday's Child" secured the fourth position in "Top CD Album Sales." However, in the year-end report for 2022, they climbed to the third spot with 227,000 physical album sales.

Furthermore, TXT's "The Name of Temptation" achieved multiple milestones. It entered the number one spot on the "Billboard 200" and remained in the "Top 100" for ten consecutive weeks. Additionally, the album maintained its position on the charts for 19 consecutive weeks, setting a record for the longest charting period among K-pop group albums released this year on the "Billboard 200."

TXT's remarkable achievements in the U.S. market demonstrate their growing popularity and influence, solidifying their status as a global K-pop leader.
